Guardian Of The Zercons, a fantasy novel based on the illustrations of Brian Jeffrey Voigt, creates a unique world that will make the reader both laugh and cry!

A peaceful nation is enslaved by a cloaked figure named Scharten, who uses his magic to strip all color from the land, causing the Zercon dragons on Mount Norge Rife to go blind.  Five years later a dragon cub named Repunzal is born who transforms destiny with the simple words "I can see".  At ten he is made Guardian of the Zercons and spends lonely days watching the valley below for attacking soldiers.  Desperate for a normal life, he journeys to the Ebony Cascade with a cat-like friend named Lindar, where a magical stone may give him power to save his people from extinction.  Will he rise to the occasion?   Is he the chosen one?  

This delightful book takes readers on a mystical journey and shows young readers what makes a hero -- strength, determination, and faith.   The story addresses the pressure Repunzal experiences from the knowledge that his people are depending upon him to save them from extinction.   He tries to answer that question as he travels half way across the world in search of a magical stone that may give the “chosen one” power to defeat the forces of evil.

The lesson learned is this -- by putting the welfare of others above your own, you’ll always be a hero – a chosen one!

As an award-winning artist, Brian spent 28 years working at Walt Disney World in Orlando, Florida, and was a frequent artist and writer for the Cast Member publication Spotlight Magazine.  “A lot of children have pressure put on them to do something or be something they’re not,” said Voigt.  “This story seeks to help people through these times.”
